Free intro clinic · Dawsonville, Georgia
One morning to try lacrosse — no experience, no equipment, no season to commit to. We hand every kid a stick, teach them to catch and throw, and get them into a game before lunch. If they love it, we'll talk about what's next. If they don't, you spent a Saturday outside.
We cap it at the number of sticks and coaches we have on the field.
Two hours, start to finish
Every kid gets a stick to use for the morning. Wear cleats or sneakers and bring a water bottle — that's the whole packing list.
Grip, cradle, and carrying the ball while moving. Ten minutes in, everybody can run with a ball in their stick.
Partner work in small groups, split by age. This is the part that makes it click.
Sharks and minnows, keep-away, relay races. Same skills, but they stop noticing they're practicing.
Small-sided, soft rules, everybody plays. Parents are welcome on the sideline.
Sticks come back to us, kids go home. No pressure, no sales pitch at the gate.
Straight answers
That's who this is for. We're assuming nobody on the field has held a stick before, because in Dawson County almost nobody has.
No. We provide sticks and balls. Cleats or sneakers, athletic clothes, and a water bottle is all you bring. No helmets or pads needed — this is non-contact.
No checking, no contact, soft balls for the younger groups. Certified coaches run every station and kids are grouped by age, not thrown in together.
No. This is one morning. There's no team, no season, and no money attached to showing up.
We'll email everyone who registered by 7 a.m. that morning with a call. If we move it, your spot moves with it.
Please do. And if you want to help — we'll take you. No lacrosse background required.
Takes a minute
Registering just holds a stick with your kid's name on it. We'll email you the field location and a reminder the week of.
Looking ahead
If enough kids come out and want more, the next step is a real Dawson County team — practices, a schedule, and games against programs in Forsyth, Hall, and Gwinnett. We're not promising a season yet, because that decision belongs to whoever shows up on October 17. Come to the clinic, and you'll be first to hear.
